Hairy Hug

My wife and I met over the internet
But not quite in the way that you'd think
On a pen-pal website
We emailed one night
And were friends just as quick as a blink.

By message we dated but we were separated
Across the North Sea's cold expanse
Living in different lands
We couldn't even hold hands
What chance could there be of romance?

But determined we were, I flew over to her
Neither could ignore the tug
And forgetting our stresses
With my beard, and her tresses
We enveloped in a warm hairy hug.
